What are your favorite quotes from O Human Star? I've got quite a few but my favorite has to be: "Look, I know I don't know how to fail, or whatever, but I'm pretty good at everything else." It just sums up so much of Brendan in one sentence and augh I love it. Also on the list of things that I love is that Al's very first sentence in the entire comic is "No." and Sulla's is "Yes?"

"Are you just going to stand there?" is my favorite, so powerful in the future and full of UST in the past (oh Al, you sexy and smooth beast!)

I agree that the diametrically opposite opening lines are very clever.
What I love are Brendans lines to Sulla, for example "Change your clothes first!". The obviously... /dadish/ lines.
That said, I love the flashbacks. Old Brendan is decidedly cuddly, but Young Brendan is /hot/.

I love the title. All the quotes mentioned are good, but the title resonates and makes me look forward to the rest.
